Reuben Sandwiches

A good old fashioned Corned Beef Reuben Sandwich. (Grandma always says pile it high and serve on rye).

  1. Place sauerkraut in colander and press firmly to drain excess liquid, then place in small bowl.
  2. Assemble each sandwich in this order butter one side of each slice of rye bread and place the bread buttered side down on a flat surface.
  3. In the following order: add 2 tbsp. of Thousand Island Dressing, 3 slices of corned beef, ¼ cup sauerkraut, Swiss cheese
  4. Preheat sauté pan over medium-high heat, place sandwich in pan, and heat sandwich approximately 3 minutes on each side until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted. Sever with chips and pickles
